Breast Surgeon of South County

 

            I am a fellowship trained surgeon who deals exclusively with breast health. Our office sees patients with both benign and malignant breast disease. I pride myslef on providing a true multidisciplinary approach to breast disease treatment including discussions and consultations with the radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and plastic and reconstructive surgeons and finally the patient’s primary physician. Some patients may need genetic counseling or fertility preservation specialists and we arrange those appointments as well. We discuss a wide range of treatment options that you can find later on the website so our patients can choose the option that fits them best in a truly informed decision. Each patient is discussed at a multidisciplinary tumor board with the above stated specialists present. Therefore a complete plan is available preoperatively for the patient. I see patients back after they have seen the specialists to discuss their individual treatment plan. Although this may seem like a long process we feel this is the best process for excellent patient care.

 

 Our office is located in the medical plaza conveniently upstairs from the breast center. We see same day appointments without a problem.

 

            Dr. Snell is a fellowship trained surgical oncologist. She did residency at the University of Louisville. She is married with two small children and lives in South County. She also has an academic appointment at Saint Louis University where she is an assistant professor.
